What is LPG?
This FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment for cellulite and body contouring is widely available throughout the slimming industry. An applicator with patented suction and motorised rollers effectively “massages” away cellulite and stubborn fat. The machine used by the clinic is the latest medical version, more powerful and effective than those commonly found in salons.
Why choose this treatment?
Cellulite is one of the most challenging problems among body shape-up procedures. Since the fat cells are too big to be dissolved by normal metabolism, this issue often can’t be remedied by exercise alone.
Among some of the benefits of LPG:
Elimination of fat and cellulite
- Regeneration of skin cells
- Exfoliation, for softer skin
- Reduction of muscle tension
- Activation of sluggish fat cells for better burning
- Endermologie — drainage of excess water, fat, and toxins
- Increase in production of skin collagen and elastin (skin toning)
How does LPG work?
The Procedure – The treatment head is equipped with two motorised rollers that knead and massage tissues. Between the rollers, a suction chamber applies a variable ‘aspiration’ to this tissue fold, increasing blood supply to the area. As the treatment sessions progress, the skin becomes more supple and elastic, causing the rollers to adapt and reach increasingly deep layers. Endermologie improves circulation by increasing blood and oxygen flow to cellulite tissues. This accelerates the drainage of stagnant waste products. The metabolism of fat cells is improved — they are encouraged to lose content and shrink in size.
Specific needs and any problem areas to be targeted will be discussed during consultation. To achieve the greatest possible result, a whole body treatment for each session is advisable.
Immediately after the treatment, you may feel the need to visit the bathroom. This is because your system is starting to rid itself of toxins, fat deposits, and excess fluid. Don’t worry — this is a good sign that shows the treatment is working.
In the days following treatment, you must get plenty of water and exercise in order to eliminate the toxins released during the session.
Is this treatment right for me?
This treatment is equally effective for men and women. Anyone who wishes to keep skin firm and elastic, and get rid of stubborn fat or love handles will definitely benefit from the treatment.
How does an LPG session take?
Each treatment session lasts between 35 to 45 minutes. A full course involves 14 to 20 sessions.
Is the LPG procedure painful?
Endermologie is a non-invasive treatment that does not involve medical procedures or chemical substances. Treatment intensity may be adjusted to the client’s comfort level. This prevents pain. Most clients find the session relaxing, similar to a deep massage experience. As the skin flexes, vibrations are felt — this is followed by tingling and warming caused by increased blood flow from rollers gliding over the area.
Are there any side effects?
Clients with sensitive skin may experience slight bruising in the treated area. This is due to the machine’s rolling and aspiration action on the skin.
How many sessions of LPG will I need?
It depends on each client. This is discussed at the initial consultation and reviewed during the course of the treatment. Ideally, an initial course of 14 treatments is recommended, with a maintenance program of one session every four weeks.
When can I see results?
Results vary, but they are typically visible after six to eight sessions.
