WHAT CAUSE SKIN TAGS, SKIN WARTS AND MOLES?
Milia seeds are oil deposits left behind by extremely rich creams, pollutants or oil-based products. They are also hereditary or caused by hormonal changes. Some medications also encourage production of milia seeds.
Skin Warts are common warts that are actually an infection in the top layer of skin. When the virus invades this outer layer of skin, usually through a tiny scratch, it causes rapid growth of cells on the outer layer of skin – creating the wart.
Moles occur when cells in the skin grow in a cluster and produces melanin, thus giving the mole its colour. They may darken after sun exposure, during our teen years and even grow bigger during pregnancy.
WHAT IS ELECTRO CAUTERY?
Electrocautery, also known as thermal cautery, refers to a process in which a direct or alternating current is passed through a resistant metal wire electrode, generating heat. The heated electrode is then applied to living tissue such as milia seeds, warts, skin tags or moles to achieve hemostasis or varying degrees of tissue destruction.
HOW SAFE IS IT?
It is safe as electrocautery is also used in various minor surgical procedures in dermatology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery and urology.
